ANNUAL REPORT 2015
FRASERS HOSPITALITY TRUST
UNITED KINGDOM
As a major business hub and tourist
destination, London continued
to draw a record number of
international arrivals. For 1Q 2015,
international arrivals reached 3.4
million, up 0.16% year-on-year.
For 1H2015, London’s occupancy
increased to 80.9%, up 1% year-
on-year. Supported by a wide
base of visitor arrivals, London
continues to be one of Europe’s
strongest performing cities. The
strong demand for accommodation
in London was underpinned by a
broad base of corporate, MICE and
leisure travellers as well as visitors
seeking medical and education
services.
FHT’s six properties in the UK
performed well in FY2015, recording
increases in RevPAR against
forecast. Growth was particularly
strong for the newly renovated
properties, Fraser Suites Queens
Gate and Fraser Place Canary Wharf,
which were able to deepen their
market share further following their
renovations.
The lodging markets of both
Edinburgh and Glasgow performed
well. The UK portfolio as a whole
recorded a year-on-year growth in
RevPAR. GR increased by 7.5% to
GBP17.0 million and NPI increased
by 12.3% to GBP13.6 million relative
to forecast.
