ANNUAL REPORT 2015
FRASERS HOSPITALITY TRUST
CUSTOMER PRIVACY
We protect and value our customers’ privacy. For example, no CCTV is installed in meeting rooms. FHT has
fully adopted FCL Group’s Personal Data Protection Policy and adheres to the Code of Business Conduct,
notably on
“Confidential or Proprietary Information and Intellectual Property”
. Since our initial public offering,
there has been no substantiated complaints regarding breaches of customer privacy or loss of customer data.
Managing Fair Competition and Data Confidentiality
Other than prevention of corruption and bribery, we have in place various policies to maintain the highest level of
adherence to rules and regulations. For example, the Competition Act Compliance Manual, Personal Data Protection Act
Policy and Securities Dealing Compliance.
Ethical Marketing
Ethical Marketing communication is part of our responsible business practice. We adhere to relevant regulations and
voluntary standards in the countries where we have presence. For instance, we adhere to the Singapore Code of
Advertising Practice. We ensure that we communicate only up-to-date information and that the content of marketing
material is true to our best knowledge.
ENVIRONMENT
The built environment accounts for a significant proportion of global energy use and greenhouse gas emissions (“GHG”)
emissions. Energy wasted in buildings is an unnecessary cost to business and society. Water scarcity is another key
global issue and we have a role to play in managing water efficient buildings, conserving water where possible.
Environmental Compliance
We view protection of the environment seriously and have not had any fines for non-compliance of environmental
regulation at any of our properties managed by Frasers Hospitality since listing date of 14 July 2014.
We continously seek improvements in energy efficiency, water intensity, recycled content and waste reduction. Our
property operators have been driving the processes to achieve higher efficiencies. Our over-riding approach is to
avoid pollution at source where possible, by reducing energy use, water use, and waste. Such utility consumption and
environmental performance are tracked regularly. (Continued on the following page)
SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
REGULAR UPDATES OF CORPORATE POLICIES
We seek to ensure that all employees are kept up to date on our policies. For example, the Code of Business
Conduct, Whistle-Blowing Policy and Anti-Bribery Policy are made available to all staff, and are informed
of any updates that are made. In Singapore, all executive staff received training in FY2015 on the new
Competition Act Compliance Manual and we introduced policies and procedures on Prevention of Money
Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism.
