SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
PEOPLE
The REIT Manager is committed to developing skilled people who are happy in a safe work environment. Retaining
talents and nurturing future leaders is fundamental to our long term success. We have a clear commitment to fair
employment practices. Each employee receives training and career development, as appropriate.
Health and Safety
Workplace Health and Safety Policy has been implemented. At all of the Frasers managed properties is a designated
team responsible for safety and security, including fire safety. Safety is central to our crisis management and business
continuity policies. We work with our counterparts at FCL Group level on unifying our safety culture across the
different business units to deploy health and safety management on site and sharing best practices.
At the Frasers managed properties, there are formal processes in place to track incident/accident data according
to local laws usually on a monthly basis. The property operators are working towards ISO certifications for these
management systems implementation.
In FY2015, there were no incidents of non-compliance with health and safety regulations or voluntary codes.
As part of FHT’s transparent sustainability approach, we are additionally reporting about workplace incidents in our
properties managed by Frasers Hospitality. In FY2015, there were 5 lost-time injuries, resulting in 141 lost days,
a lost-time injury rate of 6.9 and a severity rate of 193.8 per million man hours. This was largely due to one incident at
Fraser Suites Sydney. Stepping up accident prevention measures, the property operator had implemented additional
work safety related training and frequent briefings about safety measures while ensuring employees do not work
more than nine hours consecutively. The data reported above is in line with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower
definitions for incident reporting.
